Balmy winter day
One of my favorite things...

Winter evening
As I get under covers
My cat joins me too

Haiku is too short
To get drunk upon poem
Just a bit tipsy

January sun
The woods hold no dark secrets
When covered in snow

Under the shower
Cupping my ear in my hand
I can hear ocean

Sorry I missed day
My computer was broken
I blame solar flares

January morn
The tree branches move stiffly
As does this poet

The old frozen pond
A set of footprints lead in
But do not lead out

Both of our housecats
Who used to hate each other
Now sleep side by side

Die serving country?
Don't even get live bugler
"Taps" played on cd

Please forgive me if
My poetry is oily
I wrote at White Castle

Some think poem is good
Just because it is lengthy...
Size doesn't matter!

Look, here she comes now!
The weird girl who acts in plays
Office celebrity

Got role I wanted
So I am milking the cow
That jumped over moon

Live in the moment
Every minute is gift
You just wasted one

Are you surviving
But not really living up?

It's formal snowstorm
Because all of the fenceposts
Are wearing top hats

Our new town slogan, "Come to
Lombard and get plowed!"

Today is the day
We've gone all winter without
Hot Chocolate weather

I hate mammograms!
They squeeze your breasts but they don't
Buy you dinner first

Gazing at the moon...
The worst thing about acting
Is waiting to do it

Suburban Sunday
That little white picket fence
Laying on the ground

Midwestern winter?
Think I'll go sit on my deck
Work on my freckles

God as audience
Disgusted, He left the show
At intermission

Reincarnation?
I hope not-it's bad enough
Being born just once

Winter heat wave
Watching the sweaty young men
Practice karate
